I should explain why the site is called Ashes to Ashes, Sale to Sale. My name, Aisling, is Irish Gaelic and pronounced AshLyn. People rarely know how to pronounce this so I often explain the pronunciation and then just tell people to call me Ash. So there is the Ashes to Ashes. The Sale to Sale comes from the saying “Ashes to Ashes. Dust to Dust.” from the Bible and most often the phrase is said at funerals representing the full cycle of life. Anyone who knows me that shopping and sales will be the death of me and my poor inventory and in an effort to come up with a fashion related title this one seemed to work for me. Some get it some don’t. What you need to know is my blog is primarily about fashion in SL but really can be about anything of interest that strikes my fancy from time to time.

Please come and enjoy my public airing of my crazy thoughts, styles, rants or raves on fashion, things and what not…

And by public I don’t mean my usual shout across a crowded gathering, “Hey, btw, those are great pants, shoes, bracelets, etc. Do you mind telling me where you got them?” or “Oh, you like my cleavage? It is Ayumi cleavage. The best thing since the real boob :D” What I mean is sharing my quirky, pixel-shy, latex loving, sense of style and my love of SL designers. To me SL Fashion is art, it is a passion, and it is something that brings me great joy to share and talk about.
